Egyptian centre-forward Mohamed Hamdi has joined Qanah from Harras Hodoud in a completed move that brings one of the Premier Leagues most experienced attackers to the club. The 34-year-old, born in Alexandria, links up with the Premier League side after a season with Harras Hodoud, having moved there on a free transfer from El Mahalla in 2025.

Hamdi, a right-footed striker standing at 1.83m, arrives with extensive top-flight experience in Egypt. He has made 277 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 53 goals and providing 20 assists, and has also contributed in domestic cup competitions with six goals and four assists in 25 Egypt Cup outings.

Before his spell at Harras Hodoud, Hamdi spent time with El Mahalla and Aswan SC, initially joining Mahalla for a 37,000 fee in August 2024 after returning from a loan at Talaea El Gaish. His career has also included notable stints at El Mokawloon, Ismaily and Smouha, following his early breakthrough at Ittihad Alexandria after stepping up from Alexandrias youth ranks in 2012.

Hamdis most decorated period came at Al Ahly, whom he first joined from Ittihad Alexandria in 2015. During his time with the Cairo giants he won the Egyptian Cup once, in the 2016-17 season, before later moves and loans took him back to Smouha and Enppi and then on to further Premier League clubs.

By completing his move on 9 July 2026, Hamdi becomes Qanahs latest attacking addition as he continues his career in the Egyptian Premier League.
