Mehdi El Jourbaoui: Moroccan goalkeeper leaves RCA Zemamra to become free agent
Moroccan goalkeeper Mehdi El Jourbaoui has left RCA Zemamra and become a free agent after bringing his spell with the Botola Pro Inwi club to an end. The 33-year-old, valued at around 250,000, departs the top-flight side ahead of the 2026-27 season and is now without a club.
El Jourbaoui, who was born on 6 January 1993, had rejoined Zemamra in August 2025 from Moghreb Tetouan. His latest exit marks the second time he has moved on from the club, having also left them earlier in his career before returning for a fresh stint in Moroccos top division.
The experienced goalkeeper has built a career across several Moroccan sides, featuring for Beni Mellal, Hassania and Moghreb Tetouan as well as RCA Zemamra. Notably, he made the switch from Hassania to Moghreb Tetouan on a free transfer in August 2024, at a time when his market valuation reached 450,000.
El Jourbaoui first stepped up from reserve football in 2018 when he joined RCA Zemamra from FARs reserve team, again on a free transfer. Since then, he has established himself as a seasoned option between the posts in domestic competition, moving between clubs in search of regular action.
With his contract at Zemamra now finished and no new deal in place, El Jourbaouis latest move sees him officially listed without a club as of 10 July 2026.
