Ibrahim El Kadiri: Darmstadt 98 linked with move for Morocco-Netherlands winger

Morocco-Netherlands winger Ibrahim El Kadiri is being linked with a summer move from Dutch side De Graafschap to German club Darmstadt 98.

The 24-year-old left winger, who was born in Amsterdam and represents De Graafschap in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, is the subject of fresh speculation over his future, with a switch to the 2. Bundesliga under discussion according to transfer market data. His current market value is listed at €450k.

El Kadiri’s contractual situation at De Graafschap is unclear, with no expiry date registered, fuelling suggestions he could be available on a cut‑price deal or even approach free-agent status if his agreement is close to running down or has already expired. The reported probability of the move remains unspecified (“?”), underlining that talks are at an early, speculative stage.

A right-footed attacker who primarily operates on the left, El Kadiri wears the No.11 shirt for De Graafschap and is noted for his direct dribbling and ability to cut inside. Standing at 1.70m, he fits the profile of a mobile wide forward often favoured in the German second tier.

The dual national, who holds both Moroccan and Dutch nationality, has built his senior career in the Netherlands’ second division and is currently registered with De Graafschap Doetinchem. Recent data from Transfermarkt lists him as playing his main role in attack on the left wing, though he is capable of operating across the frontline.

Darmstadt, relegated from the Bundesliga in 2024, are understood to be exploring cost-effective attacking options, and El Kadiri’s relatively modest valuation could make him an attractive target.

If a move to Germany does materialise, it would mark the first step abroad in El Kadiri’s career and could prove a pivotal platform for the 24-year-old to enhance his reputation and push towards a higher European level.
