France and Cote d’Ivoire left-back Kassoum Ouattara of Monaco is being linked with a summer switch to Turkish giants Besiktas, with the likelihood of a deal currently rated at 66%.
The 21-year-old defender, who was born in Paris and stands at 1.84m, is viewed as a potential long-term option at left-back in Istanbul, with his current market value listed at €12.00m. Ouattara is under contract at Monaco, but the absence of a publicly known expiry date has fuelled speculation that the Ligue 1 side could listen to offers rather than risk him running down his deal and edging closer to free-agent territory.
Reports of Besiktas’ interest have intensified in recent days amid wider rebuilding plans at the Super Lig club, who are targeting younger, resaleable assets. A naturally left-footed defender, Ouattara’s profile fits that strategy, having already established himself in Monaco’s first-team picture in France’s top flight.
Ouattara, who wears the No 20 shirt for the Principality club, is eligible for both France and Cote d’Ivoire and is regarded as a modern attacking full-back, comfortable overlapping and driving play from deep. He is listed primarily as a defender – left-back – but his athleticism allows him to operate higher up the flank when required.
Monaco signed Ouattara as a teenager and have helped develop him into one of Ligue 1’s more promising young full-backs. While detailed contract terms have not been made public, his growing status and dual-nationality appeal make him an intriguing target for clubs outside France, with Besiktas the latest to be credited with serious interest.
Should the move materialise, a transfer to Istanbul would offer Ouattara regular European exposure and a bigger continental platform, potentially accelerating his rise and shaping both his club career and international prospects in the coming seasons.
