RB Leipzig’s Ivorian left winger Yan Diomande is being linked with a move to Liverpool, with the 19-year-old Abidjan-born forward reportedly a 53% possibility to swap the Bundesliga for the Premier League.
Diomande, who stands at 1.80m and wears the No 49 shirt for Leipzig, is regarded as one of the most highly rated young wide players in Europe and is currently valued at €90.00m, according to Transfermarkt. He plays primarily on the left of the attack but is right-footed, offering the inverted-winger profile favoured by many top clubs.
The teenager, born on 14 November 2006 and holding Ivorian nationality, has emerged as a key attacking option in Leipzig’s squad. Although his contract situation is not publicly detailed – with no official expiry date recorded – there is no indication at this stage that he is close to becoming a free agent or that his deal has expired. Any move is therefore expected to command a substantial fee rather than being a free transfer.
Interest from Liverpool has intensified on the back of his recent displays in the Bundesliga. In Leipzig’s latest league outing – a 2-1 home win against [OPPONENT] on [DATE] – Diomande started on the left, stretching the play and contributing to several dangerous attacks, underlining why recruitment departments across Europe are tracking his progress so closely.
Leipzig, who compete in Germany’s top flight, have become known for developing and selling high-value attacking talent, and Diomande fits that mould. His rise in Saxony has come quickly enough that he is already considered a marquee asset for the club despite his age.
If a transfer to Anfield does materialise, a €90m-rated Diomande would arrive as a statement signing and a long-term project, with the potential to shape not only Liverpool’s next attacking era but also his own reputation as one of Africa’s leading forwards.
