Tromsø eye Ghana defender Antwi Dacosta in move from Young Apostles

Ghanaian centre-back Antwi Dacosta of RSCA Futures is being linked with a switch to Norwegian side Tromsø IL from Ghana Premier League club Young Apostles FC.

The 19-year-old left-footed defender, who stands at 1.86m and is currently valued at €300k on Transfermarkt, is the subject of transfer speculation following reports in mid-June that Tromsø are monitoring his situation. The rumour, dated 16 June 2026, carries an unspecified probability, with no indication yet that a formal bid has been made.

Dacosta is listed with Young Apostles in his homeland as the club from which a move to the Eliteserien could materialise, while also being registered with Belgian side RSCA Futures, Anderlecht’s reserve and development team. With no public information on when he joined RSCA Futures or when his current deal expires, there is talk the teenager could potentially be available as a free agent if contractual details are not clarified before any move.

The Ghanaian youth defender’s profile has risen over the last year through his development work at RSCA Futures, where he has been used in his natural role at centre-back. Comfortable on his left foot and operating primarily in central defence, he is seen as a long-term project rather than an immediate marquee signing, which aligns with his €300k market valuation.

Recent domestic performances for Young Apostles in the Ghana Premier League have kept him on European radars, including a solid showing in a tight league encounter earlier this month, though full match data beyond the scoreline and opponent is not publicly detailed.

With Tromsø looking to reinforce their back line in the Eliteserien, a move to northern Norway would represent a significant step up for Dacosta and could prove a pivotal moment in shaping his reputation and long-term prospects in European football if the transfer materialises.
