Salim Adams: Ghanaian Medeama midfielder linked with Al-Hilal move

Ghanaian midfielder Salim Adams of Medeama has emerged as a transfer target for Sudanese giants Al-Hilal, with the Omdurman club weighing up a move for the 23-year-old central midfielder. The Medeama player, who operates primarily in central midfield, is being monitored after a strong campaign in the Ghana Premier League and on the continental stage.

Adams has been a key figure for Medeama, making 73 Premier League appearances and scoring 16 goals in the competition, and featuring in this season’s CAF Champions League, where he scored once in two outings. His performances have attracted interest beyond Ghana, and Al-Hilal are understood to be assessing whether to formalise that interest as they reshape their midfield options.

Standing at 1.88m, Adams joined Medeama from Hearts of Oak on a free transfer in August 2025 and has quickly established himself, helping the club to the Ghanaian league title in the 2025-26 season. His current market valuation is around €125,000, a figure that would make him a relatively affordable option for Al-Hilal compared with many international targets.

The Ghanaian previously spent time in MLS Next Pro with Cincinnati 2 during a loan spell from Hearts of Oak, making 23 appearances in the United States before returning to the Ghanaian top flight. That exposure outside Ghana, combined with recent domestic success, has contributed to Al-Hilal’s interest.

Adams’ contractual details at Medeama have not been made public, but the club’s recent title win and his central role in it mean Medeama are likely to drive a hard bargain if Al-Hilal decide to move from interest to negotiations.
