Jacques Siwe: Nice linked with move for France-Cameroon forward from Rubin Kazan

France-Cameroon centre-forward Jacques Siwe of Russian Premier Liga side Rubin Kazan has been linked with a summer move to Ligue 1 club Nice.

The 24-year-old, born in Saint-Maurice and valued at €2.50m on Transfermarkt, is the subject of speculation over a return to French football, with reports in Russia suggesting Nice are monitoring his situation closely. The probability of a transfer remains unclear and is currently listed as “?” on transfer databases.

Siwe, who stands at 1.86m and is a right-footed central attacker, is currently under contract at Rubin Kazan, but no official expiry date is recorded. That uncertainty has fuelled suggestions he could become a free agent in the near future, opening the door to a low-cost or even free transfer should his deal be allowed to run down or be terminated.

Dual-national Siwe, who holds both French and Cameroonian nationality, wears the number 43 shirt for Rubin. He has been deployed primarily as a centre-forward in Russia, although he is listed generally as an attacking player, adding depth and physical presence to the front line.

Recent data does not indicate a confirmed transfer fee, meaning any move would likely be shaped by his current €2.50m market valuation rather than a fixed release clause. His recent club form and detailed match statistics have not been publicly updated, and no specific standout performance – including opponent, date, or scoreline – has yet been highlighted in connection with the rumour.

Siwe joined Rubin after earlier spells in French football, and a switch to Nice would mark a return to a familiar league in which his profile and market value could rise significantly. If the move materialises, it could prove a pivotal step in his career, offering a platform in Ligue 1 to enhance his reputation and unlock the full potential that has attracted interest from scouts.
