Idris Bounaas: Algerian-French midfielder joins Cherno More after spell without club
Algerian-French defensive midfielder Idris Bounaas has joined Bulgarian top-flight side Cherno More, ending his recent spell without a club. The 23-year-old has completed his move to the Varna outfit, who compete in the efbet Liga.
Bounaas arrives at Cherno More as a free agent after leaving his previous side and spending a period unattached. His switch to Bulgaria gives the midfielder a fresh platform in a country whose top division has increasingly drawn players from across Europe and North Africa in recent seasons.
Capable of operating at the base of midfield, Bounaas will be expected to add depth and defensive stability in the centre of the pitch for Cherno More. The club have turned to the dual-nationality player as they continue to shape their squad for the forthcoming domestic campaign.
Bounaas, who holds both Algerian and French nationality, is at an age where regular first-team football in a competitive league could prove significant for the next stage of his career. His move to the efbet Liga marks his first stint in Bulgarian football.
The transfer has been finalised ahead of the new season, with Bounaas now officially registered as a Cherno More player.
