Golden Arrows have appointed Mandla Ncikazi as their new head coach after ending Pitso Dladla’s tenure with immediate effect.

The KwaZulu-Natal club confirmed the change after parting company with Dladla eight matches into the league campaign. Dladla leaves as the coach who guided Arrows to victory in the Nedbank Cup.

“Lamontville Golden Arrows Football Club and Coach Pitso Dladla have agreed to part ways effective immediately,” the club said in a statement.

“The Club would like to thank Coach Dladla for his efforts, commitment and dedication during his tenure at the Club.”

Arrows recorded one win, five draws and two defeats in their opening eight league matches under Dladla.

Despite that difficult start, the club reached the semi-finals of the MTN8 last month.

Ncikazi now takes charge as Arrows prepare for their next fixture against Chippa United in the Carling Knockout on Saturday.
