The Egyptian Football Association, under the leadership of Jamal Al-Amal, has received a letter from Liverpool Football Club requesting the exemption of star player Mohamed Salah from the upcoming Egyptian national team camp due to his injury.
A source within the Egyptian Football Association confirmed that officials have indeed received a letter from Liverpool, urging the exemption of Mohamed Salah from the upcoming camp due to his injury.
“We have already received a letter from Liverpool requesting the exemption of Mohamed Salah from the upcoming camp due to his injury,” the source told Al-Masry Al-Youm.
“We have included Mohamed Salah’s name among the professional players we requested to join the upcoming camp days ago,” the source added.
“It is our right to include any professional player as long as it is during the international agenda, and the decision to include him or not is in the hands of the national team’s technical staff, led by Captain Hossam Hassan,” the source elaborated.
“It is still early to make a definitive decision. If Mohamed Salah plays any matches before the start of the camp, we will adhere to his inclusion.
His fitness will be assessed and determined by the medical staff of the Egyptian national team,” the source concluded.
