Franck Kessié on the radar of Juventus

Juventus are actively working to strengthen their midfield and have reportedly identified Ivory Coast international Franck Kessié as a top target.

According to reports, the Turin giants remain seriously interested in the 29-year-old midfielder, who is currently a free agent after leaving Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.

The Italian club have already presented Kessié with a contract proposal that would keep him at the club until 2028.

The proposed deal is reportedly worth €4 million per season, with additional bonuses included, as the Bianconeri look to convince the experienced midfielder to return to Serie A.

Kessié is said to be fully open to the move and views a return to Italian football favourably, increasing Juventus’ chances of reaching an agreement with the player.

Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti is also understood to be a strong admirer of Kessié’s qualities and sees the Ivorian as a key addition to his midfield.

The midfielder’s physical strength, defensive work rate and ability to contribute in attack could provide Juventus with another important option in the middle of the pitch.

However, the Turin-based club still need to resolve some internal issues before completing the transfer. Juventus are currently working to create space within their squad and reduce their wage bill.

As part of those efforts, the Bianconeri are reportedly looking to sell two midfielders before finalising their pursuit of Kessié.

Kessié spent the last three years playing in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli before leaving the club in the summer of 2026 following the expiration of his contract.

During the 2025/26 season, the Ivory Coast international made 26 appearances in the Saudi Pro League, scoring five goals and providing four assists.

His experience in Serie A could also make him an attractive option for Juventus, having previously established himself as one of the league’s prominent midfielders during his time in Italy.

With the player reportedly keen on a return to Serie A and Juventus already having presented a contract offer, the next step will depend largely on the club’s ability to create room within its squad and wage structure.
