DR Congo international striker Fiston Mayele has completed his transfer to Libyan giants Al Ahli Tripoli from Egyptian side Pyramids FC.

The forward has signed a two-year contract with the Libyan club in a deal reportedly worth a total package of $5 million, bringing an end to his successful spell in Egyptian football.

Mayele, who represented the Democratic Republic of Congo at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, joins Al Ahli Tripoli after establishing himself as one of Africa’s most prolific attackers at club level.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a remarkable period with Pyramids FC, helping the Egyptian club achieve major success on the continental stage.

During his time in Cairo, Mayele played a key role in Pyramids’ historic CAF Champions League triumph and emerged as one of the standout performers in African club competitions.

His impressive performances earned him several individual honours, including the CAF Champions League top scorer award, CAF Confederation Cup top scorer accolade, African Inter-Club Player of the Year recognition, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup top scorer award.

Mayele also lifted the CAF Super Cup during his time with Pyramids, further cementing his reputation as one of the leading forwards in African football.

The Congolese striker’s move to Al Ahli Tripoli is expected to add significant firepower to the Libyan club’s attack as they look to compete for domestic honours and make a mark in continental competitions.

Having already enjoyed success in Egypt and on the international stage, Mayele will now begin a new chapter in Libya as Al Ahli Tripoli’s marquee signing ahead of the upcoming season.
