Boubacar Copa Barry has returned to the Cote d’Ivoire senior national team set-up, joining coach Herve Renard’s technical staff in a dual role.

The former goalkeeper will work as goalkeeping coach and second assistant to Renard.

Copa Barry, a key figure in Cote d’Ivoire’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations triumph, has been appointed to help guide the national side’s goalkeepers and support the wider coaching team.

His return reflects his highly regarded technical credentials. He is among the few specialists to hold the highest European football coaching qualifications, having earned diplomas as both a head coach and a specialist goalkeeping coach.

Copa Barry will now work alongside Renard, bringing extensive top-level experience and a detailed understanding of the Cote d’Ivoire set-up. His appointment is intended to help develop the next generation of Ivorian goalkeepers while reinforcing the winning mentality that helped the country secure continental success.
