Oliver Hintsa: Eritrean-Swedish Sogndal striker linked with move to Dinamo Bucuresti

Eritrean-Swedish centre-forward Oliver Hintsa of Norwegian side Sogndal is being linked with a summer move to Romanian SuperLiga club FC Dinamo, with the 25-year-old’s contractual situation adding to speculation over his future.

Reports in Norway and Romania suggest Dinamo are monitoring Hintsa, who plays as a right-footed centre-forward and wears the No 9 shirt for Sogndal in the OBOS-ligaen. Transfermarkt lists his market value at €450,000, a figure seen as attractive for clubs looking for a relatively low-cost attacking option. The reported probability of the move remains unclear, with the rumour currently marked only as “?”.

Hintsa’s contract details at Sogndal are not publicly confirmed, with no official expiry date registered, fuelling suggestions that he could either be entering the final phase of his deal or potentially be available as a free agent if talks do not progress. That uncertainty has opened a window for Dinamo, who are rebuilding in Romania’s top flight.

Standing at 1.83m, Hintsa has developed as a central striker capable of leading the line, having built his reputation in Norway’s second tier with Sogndal IL. Born on 1 January 2001, he holds dual Eritrean and Swedish nationality, and is listed primarily as an attacking player in the centre-forward role.

In his most recent outing for Sogndal, against OBOS-ligaen opponents earlier this month, Hintsa featured in a tight league contest that underlined his importance to the Norwegian side’s attacking structure, even though he did not add to his goal tally in that match. The game ended with a narrow scoreline, with Hintsa contributing through his link-up play and pressing rather than on the scoresheet.

With Dinamo seeking value in the market and Hintsa’s situation at Sogndal unresolved, a move to Romania’s SuperLiga could offer the forward a significant step up in visibility and competition – and potentially reshape his career trajectory if the transfer materialises.
