Ken Izekor: Austria Lustenau eye move for Germany-Nigeria forward from Leverkusen U19

Germany-Nigeria centre-forward Ken Izekor is being linked with a move from Bayer Leverkusen U19 to Austrian second-tier side Austria Lustenau, with the 19-year-old Eintracht Braunschweig attacker reportedly on the radar ahead of a potential summer switch.

The teenager, born in Aachen on 24 May 2007 and standing at 1.77m, is currently listed with Eintracht Braunschweig and wears the No 38 shirt, but the latest speculation centres on his academy spell with Leverkusen’s U19s and a possible step into senior football in Austria’s 2. Liga. Transfermarkt data lists his market value at €400,000, a relatively modest figure that could encourage Lustenau to move quickly.

Details of the deal structure remain unclear, with no contract expiry date publicly registered and the probability of the transfer rated only as “?” on 22 June 2026. That has fuelled talk that Izekor could become available as a free agent if no new agreement is finalised, opening the door for Austria Lustenau to secure a low-cost attacking option.

A left-footed centre-forward whose main position is through the middle, Izekor holds dual nationality with Germany and Nigeria and has been involved at youth level with Eintracht Braunschweig. He has also featured in the U19 Nachwuchsliga – Liga A with Leverkusen’s academy side, gaining competitive experience in Germany’s top youth competition.

Recent youth fixtures have seen him used primarily as a focal point in attack, though no specific standout match – in terms of opponent, date, scoreline or statistical performance – is recorded in the current dataset. The lack of senior minutes could make Austria’s second tier an attractive platform for regular first-team football.

With talks still at a speculative stage and no formal confirmation from either club, any move to Austria Lustenau would represent a first major step into professional football for Izekor – one that could define his early reputation and provide a launchpad for his dual-national international ambitions if the transfer materialises.
