Jack Senga: Defensive midfielder linked with move to Bosnia-Herzegovina side Igman Konjic

FK Igman Konjic have completed the loan signing of defensive midfielder Jack Senga from FK Sarajevo, securing the 22-year-old until 2026-06-30. The move is registered as a loan transfer effective from 2026-02-10, after Sarajevo briefly promoted Senga from their B team the day before finalising his temporary switch.

The deal sends Senga from the Premijer Liga BiH to Igman Konjic, who are competing in the Prva liga FBIH in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Under the terms recorded, Senga will return to FK Sarajevo at the end of the loan on 2026-06-30, at which point his longer-term future will be reassessed. No permanent purchase option or fee beyond the loan is indicated, and his market value is currently listed as zero, underlining that Sarajevo retain his registration without an agreed sale price.

This latest move continues a nomadic early career for the 1.90m right-footed midfielder, who holds both Belgian and DR Congo nationality and is listed primarily as a defensive midfielder. Born on 27 Jan 2004, Senga has already experienced football in England, Scotland and Bosnia-Herzegovina. After progressing from Reading FC U18 to Reading FC U21 in 2021, he spent a loan spell at Maidenhead United in the English system before returning to Reading later that year.

In 2023 he moved on loan from Reading FC U21 to Ayr United in Scotland, a stint that ended with his return to the English club in early 2024. By August 2025 he had left Reading FC U21 for FK Sarajevo B, stepping into Bosnian football for the first time. Sarajevo elevated him to their first team on 2026-02-09, only to immediately send him on loan to Igman Konjic the following day, a clear indication that they view regular competitive minutes in the Prva liga FBIH as the next stage of his development.

Senga’s market value history reflects a fluctuating trajectory. While at Ayr United in late 2023 he was valued at €75,000, that figure dropped to €50,000 at Reading FC U21 by the end of 2024 and then to zero in mid-2025. The absence of a current valuation and the lack of a transfer fee beyond the loan designation suggest that, after his return date to Sarajevo in 2026, there is a realistic possibility he could either be moved on again or edge towards free-agent status if no new agreement is reached.

For Igman Konjic, the acquisition brings a tall, physically imposing holding midfielder with experience across multiple leagues and youth systems in the UK. For Sarajevo, it preserves control of a player who still fits the profile of a developmental asset rather than a finished product, while keeping open future options, including a permanent transfer or contract expiry down the line.

With his contractually defined loan window now set from 2026-02-10 to 2026-06-30, Senga’s immediate task is clear: establish himself in Bosnia-Herzegovina’s second tier and use this spell at Igman Konjic to revive both his on-field reputation and his currently dormant market value ahead of his scheduled return to FK Sarajevo.
