Porto weigh move for Young Boys full-back Jaouen Hadjam
Algerian-French defender Jaouen Hadjam is being linked with a move from Young Boys to Porto, with the Portuguese club monitoring the 23-year-old left-back.
Hadjam joined Young Boys from Nantes in January 2024 for €1.3m and remains under contract with the Swiss club until 30 June 2028. He has been part of the Young Boys squad at the start of the 2026-27 Super League campaign, making three appearances and playing 189 minutes.
The defender has also featured three times at the 2026 World Cup, although he has not registered a goal or assist for either club or country in the competitions recorded this season.
Hadjam began his senior career with Paris FC before moving to Nantes, where he spent a year prior to his switch to Switzerland. He helped Young Boys win the Swiss championship in the 2023-24 season, the club’s first campaign after his arrival.
A move to Porto would see Hadjam leave the Super League for Liga Portugal, but there is no indication that an agreement has been reached. Young Boys paid €1.3m for the player and have him tied to the club for two more seasons beyond the current campaign.
