Karim Benzema confirms Al Hilal future

Karim Benzema has dismissed speculation about his future at Al Hilal, insisting that he plans to remain with the Saudi Pro League club despite recent reports of tension with head coach Simone Inzaghi.

The 38-year-old striker has been linked with a possible departure in recent days, with suggestions that his relationship with Inzaghi had become difficult. However, Benzema gave a clear response after Al Hilal’s 3-0 victory over Al Feiha.

“There is nothing. I am staying and continuing here. I still have a contract, and I am trying to give everything I have for the team,” the former Lyon forward said in the mixed zone.

Benzema’s current agreement runs until June 2027, meaning he remains tied to the Saudi club for another season beyond the current campaign. His comments appear to settle, at least for now, the questions surrounding his immediate future.

Al Hilal are nevertheless exploring options for the attack. The club have reportedly shown serious interest in Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, although that pursuit does not necessarily mean Benzema is preparing to leave.

For now, the veteran forward remains focused on contributing to Al Hilal and fulfilling his contract in Saudi Arabia.
