Muhammed Hydara has completed a move from Slovak side Pohronie to Estonian top-flight club JK Tammeka, sealing a permanent transfer to the Premium Liiga outfit. The deal, recorded with an unspecified fee and a market value of €75,000, is confirmed as a standard transfer. His contract with JK Tammeka runs from 2026-02-04 to 2026-02-04.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, born in Farafenni in The Gambia, leaves Pohronie of Slovakia’s MONACObet liga to continue his career in Estonia’s Premium Liiga. The switch marks another step abroad for the Gambian, who has yet to play club football in his home country’s domestic top tier despite his growing profile.
Hydara arrives at JK Tammeka from Pohronie, where he was registered with a market value of €75k at the time of the transfer. While the exact transfer fee remains undisclosed, the move is categorized as a standard, completed deal rather than a loan or free transfer, and Pohronie cease to hold his registration from the start of his new contract.
The midfielder has built his European experience primarily in Slovakia. After initially leaving BST Galaxy FC in The Gambia, he joined FK Železiarne Podbrezová, including a spell with their U19 side. A loan move took him from BST Galaxy FC to FK Železiarne Podbrezová U19, which was later followed by a permanent stay at Železiarne Podbrezová’s senior side. He then moved to Pohronie, still in Slovakia, before this latest confirmed transfer to Estonia.
Throughout this period, Hydara’s market value has fluctuated but shows an overall upward trajectory. It was first recorded at €25,000 with Železiarne Podbrezová, rose to €50,000, and later reached €75,000 at Pohronie. Although there was a temporary dip to €50,000, his valuation recovered to €75,000 again before his move to JK Tammeka, underlining the perceived potential of the Gambian playmaker.
Standing at 1.86 m and primarily deployed as an attacking midfielder, Hydara strengthens JK Tammeka in a central offensive role. His profile lists him as a specialist in the attacking midfield position, rather than a versatile multi-role player, indicating that the Estonian club have recruited him for a defined creative and advanced midfield function.
His club pathway now spans four teams across two countries: BST Galaxy FC in The Gambia, FK Železiarne Podbrezová (including the U19s), Pohronie in Slovakia, and JK Tammeka in Estonia. With this transfer, he continues a career spent entirely abroad at club level relative to his home nation, now moving into a new league and footballing culture in the Premium Liiga.
