Néné Gbamblé has completed a permanent move from Qyzyljar Petropavlovsk to Al-Kharaitiyat SC, signing as a free transfer to join the Qatari Second Division side. The Ivorian right winger’s contract with the Qatari club runs from 2026-02-03 to 2026-06-30, bringing an end to his spell in Kazakhstan and adding another country to an already wide-ranging career across Eastern Europe and Asia.
The switch sees Al-Kharaitiyat pick up a 23-year-old attacker currently valued at €200k without paying a transfer fee, a calculated piece of business for a club operating outside Qatar’s top tier. For Qyzyljar, it means losing a market-valued asset for nothing, a scenario that highlights how quickly player values can move in mid-tier leagues and how contract situations can turn a regular starter into a departing free agent.
Gbamblé arrives in Qatar after a short stint with Qyzyljar in the Kazakhstan Premier Liga, having joined the club from Torpedo Moscow. Before that, he played in Russia for Torpedo and Akhmat Grozny, as well as for Shinnik Yaroslavl on loan, plus earlier stops in Slovenia with NK Celje and in Ukraine with Rubikon Kyiv and Olimpik Donetsk. His journey from Ukraine’s lower ranks through Slovenia’s top flight, the Russian system, Kazakhstan and now Qatar underlines a career built on constant adaptation to new tactical and cultural environments.
Born on 09 May 2002 and standing 1.73m tall, Gbamblé operates primarily as an attacking right winger and prefers his right foot. His market value progression reflects both promise and volatility: from €25k at Olimpik Donetsk in 2021, up to €400k at Akhmat Grozny in mid-2023, then gradually down to €200k by late 2025 at Qyzyljar. That trajectory suggests a player whose potential has been recognised but who is still searching for the ideal platform to stabilise and grow his reputation.
The move also reinforces his status as a true expatriate professional. A Côte d’Ivoire international by nationality, he has yet to build a profile in his home domestic league, instead forging his path abroad. With Al-Kharaitiyat competing in the Qatari Second Division, Gbamblé will again be operating outside the spotlight of Europe’s major competitions, but in a region where investment in football infrastructure and foreign talent continues to rise.
Al-Kharaitiyat gain a winger with experience in varied competitive contexts, from the physical demands of Russian football to the travel-heavy calendar of the Kazakhstan Premier Liga. For Gbamblé, the transfer presents a fresh opportunity to re-ignite the upward curve of his market value and to convert years of itinerant development into consistent performances in a new league. How he settles in Qatar over the course of his contract from 2026-02-03 to 2026-06-30 may prove decisive in shaping the next chapter of his career and determining whether he can turn a journeyman résumé into a more stable and influential role at club level.
