Liverpool are being linked with a move for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, with the 19-year-old Ivorian emerging as a rumoured target for the Premier League club.
Reports in Germany and on transfer databases suggest Liverpool are monitoring Diomande, who currently has an estimated market value of €20.00m and is rated as having a 25% chance of leaving Leipzig for Anfield. The move is being discussed as a possibility rather than an active negotiation, with no agreement in place between the clubs.
Diomande, a right-footed left winger, joined Leipzig from Spanish side CD Leganés and is viewed as one of the Bundesliga club’s more promising attacking prospects. His value has risen sharply over 2025, leaping from €600,000 in May to €1.5m in June while at Leganés, before reaching the €20m mark following his switch to Leipzig later in the year.
Born in Abidjan on 14 November 2006, Diomande has followed an unconventional route into European football. After starting out in the United States with Yulee Hornets, he moved on to DME Academy before earning a transfer to Leganés in Spain and then to the Bundesliga. He is listed as representing Côte d’Ivoire and stands at 1.80m, offering a blend of pace and physical presence on the flank.
There is currently no public indication of a contract end date at Leipzig, which leaves open the theoretical possibility of Diomande running down his deal and becoming a free agent in future if no extension is agreed.
If Liverpool do step up their interest, a move to Anfield would represent another significant leap in a rapid rise, potentially accelerating Diomande’s development and raising his profile on both the European and international stage.
