Inter Milan interested in signing German-Nigerian goalkeeper Noah Atubolu
Italian giants Inter Milan are interested in signing Germany-born goalkeeper of Nigerian descent, Noah Atubolu.
The 23-year-old has continued his steady rise at SC Freiburg, delivering impressive performances that have caught the attention of several top European clubs.
According to Sky Sports, Atubolu’s contract with Freiburg runs until 2027 but includes an exit clause that could facilitate a move as early as next summer.
Inter Milan are said to be particularly keen and are already planning talks with the young shot-stopper’s representatives.
Atubolu’s strong displays have not gone unnoticed at the international level either. Following Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann’s withdrawal due to illness, Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann called Atubolu up to the senior national team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.
Many believe it puts an end to any possibility of Atubolu representing the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
