Bayern Munich agree personal terms with Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson – Report
Bayern Munich have reached personal terms with Nicolas Jackson, moving a step closer to securing the Chelsea forward’s signature as the Bundesliga champions search for attacking reinforcements.
The agreement signals intent from the German side, who are keen to conclude negotiations before the transfer window shuts.
The Senegalese striker has become the subject of intense discussions between the two clubs, with Bayern preferring a loan deal that may include an obligation to buy.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are open to an exit, but value the 24-year-old at around £60 million if a permanent transfer is to be sanctioned.
Reports indicate that Jackson’s representatives are currently in London to finalise the details of the move.
Jackson’s future has been a constant source of speculation this summer. Earlier links with Aston Villa proved unfounded, despite the narrative of a reunion with former coach Unai Emery.
Instead, Bayern emerged as the unnamed suitor reported last week, and have now reached a breakthrough by agreeing personal terms with the player.
Chelsea’s willingness to part ways with Jackson comes as the club seeks to trim its wage bill and reshape its squad. The Blues have already signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, reducing the likelihood of regular playing time for Jackson if he were to remain.
Since joining Chelsea, Jackson has recorded 24 goals and 10 assists in 64 Premier League appearances, establishing himself as a quick and technically gifted striker.
However, with Chelsea pushing hard to land Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, the club views his departure as part of a wider reshuffle.
Bayern, hit by the loss of Jamal Musiala to a long-term injury, see Jackson as a timely solution. With only days remaining in the window, both clubs are accelerating talks to reach an agreement that would end the forward’s brief stay at Stamford Bridge.
