Brentford have officially secured the signing of highly rated midfielder Antoni Milambo from Dutch side Feyenoord in a deal worth £17 million, with a further £4.25 million in potential add-ons.
Milambo, who holds dual nationality with the Netherlands and the Democratic Republic of Congo, has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League club.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakout campaign last season, making 42 appearances across all competitions for Feyenoord while contributing seven goals and eight assists.
Head coach Keith Andrews, who recently succeeded Thomas Frank following his move to Tottenham, welcomed the midfielder’s arrival, noting Milambo’s top-flight experience and attacking qualities.
The deal is believed to have been finalised prior to Andrews’ appointment.
“Antoni has played a lot of football in the last 12 months and really shot to prominence,” Andrews said. “He’s had experience in the Eredivisie, Champions League, and most recently the Under-21 Euros with the Netherlands.”
A product of Feyenoord’s academy, Milambo is known for his ability to drive forward with the ball, beat players, and pose a threat in front of goal.
Andrews added that the Dutch youth international will provide a different dynamic to Brentford’s midfield as the club prepares for the 2025/26 Premier League season.
His arrival also comes at a crucial time for Brentford, who are preparing to lose long-serving captain Christian Norgaard, with the Danish international edging closer to a move to Arsenal.
Club director Phil Giles recently acknowledged the need to reinforce midfield options and believes Milambo fits the club’s long-term vision.
Milambo will now begin pre-season training with the Bees as he adapts to the pace and physicality of English football.
