Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has raised concerns about his future at Liverpool, revealing that the club is yet to put an offer on the table despite being in the final year of his current deal.
The two-time African Footballer of the Year, who earns around £350,000 per week, has been a pivotal figure in Liverpool’s recent successes. His departure would undoubtedly be a major setback for the club because of his consistency and experience.
Speaking after Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over Southampton where he scored two goals, the 32-year-old expressed frustration over the lack of progress in contract negotiations.
“We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club,” he said. I’m probably more out than in.
“I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end, it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see.
“I’m very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible.”
Mohamed Salah has ten goals in 12 Premier League games this season, and backed that with six assists.
