PSG step up in race for Yan Diomande as transfer battle for Ivorian winger heats up
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly stepping up plans in a move to try and sign Ivorian forward Yan Diomande.
According to French outlet L’Équipe, PSG sporting director Luis Campos has held meetings with representatives of Yan Diomande, who currently plays for RB Leipzig, as well as Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal FC, to assess possible transfer opportunities.
Diomande is emerging as one of Europe’s most sought-after young wingers, attracting interest from several top clubs including Bayern Munich, Liverpool FC, and FC Barcelona.
Reports suggest RB Leipzig value the Ivorian at around €100 million and are keen to retain him for at least another season, potentially by offering a new contract with an improved salary and release clause.
The situation surrounding Martinelli is more uncertain. The Brazilian forward is said to have fallen out of favour as a regular starter under manager Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.
As a result, several clubs, including Olympique Marseille, RB Leipzig, and Atlético Madrid, have also been linked with a potential move.
With multiple European giants monitoring both players, PSG are expected to face strong competition if they decide to turn their interest into formal bids in the upcoming transfer window.
