Moss sign Gambian-Norwegian defender Momodou Lion Njie from KFUM Oslo on loan

Gambian-Norwegian centre-back Momodou Lion Njie has joined Moss from KFUM Oslo on loan, returning to the Norwegian club until 31 December 2026.

The 24-year-old defender moves from Eliteserien side KFUM Oslo to Moss, who play in the OBOS-ligaen. The agreement is a temporary switch, with Njie due to return to KFUM Oslo when the loan expires at the end of the year.

Njie began his senior career with Moss before leaving for KFUM Oslo in January 2022. His return marks a second spell with the club, having previously joined Moss from Skeid Yth. on a free transfer in May 2021.

He spent part of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Sarpsborg 08, returning to KFUM Oslo at the end of December 2025. His other recorded clubs include Follo FK II and Kolbotn IL, where he played earlier in his career.

Before moving back to Moss, Njie had made six Eliteserien appearances for KFUM Oslo in 2026. He also featured four times in the NM-Cup and made six appearances in the Norsk Tipping-Ligaen avdeling 1, scoring once.

Njie is a right-footed central defender born in Oslo and stands at 1.91m. He represents the Gambia and Norway in his nationality background, while his listed national club is Moss FK.

His move gives Moss a defender with experience of Norwegian football across the Eliteserien, the NM-Cup and the Norsk Tipping-Ligaen. The loan was completed on 2 September 2026, and the registration details set out his return to KFUM Oslo on 31 December.

Njie has therefore completed a temporary return to Moss from KFUM Oslo, with the loan running until the end of 2026.
