FC Barcelona partner with Egypt’s EGYPTAIR in three-season deal
FC Barcelona have agreed a new three-season partnership with Egyptian national airline EGYPTAIR, strengthening the Spanish club’s commercial presence across the Middle East and Africa.
The agreement will see EGYPTAIR become a Global Partner of Barcelona until the end of the 2028-29 season.
The airline will also become the club’s Exclusive Official Airline for its men’s football, basketball and handball teams.
EGYPTAIR logo to feature on Barcelona handball shirts
As part of the agreement, EGYPTAIR’s logo will appear on the front of Barcelona’s handball team’s shirts during matches.
The partnership gives the Egyptian airline greater international exposure through one of the world’s best-known football clubs, while Barcelona will seek to deepen its connection with supporters in the Middle East and Africa.
The Catalan club has a substantial following across both regions, making the agreement an important part of its wider international commercial strategy.
Barcelona welcome partnership with Egyptian airline
FC Barcelona’s Global Sponsorships Director Marc Bruix said the partnership was a natural fit as the club looks to expand its presence in the region.
“Connecting FC Barcelona with EGYPTAIR, a benchmark for excellence and history in international aviation, is a natural step to take in our expansion,” Bruix said.
He added that the agreement would allow Barcelona to take the club’s identity and values closer to supporters across the Middle East and Africa.
EGYPTAIR targets greater global visibility
For EGYPTAIR, the agreement forms part of its broader strategy to expand its international network and fleet while raising its profile globally.
EGYPTAIR Holding Company President Captain Ahmed Adel described the partnership as a landmark moment for Egypt’s national airline, pointing to the international reach of Barcelona and EGYPTAIR’s long-standing history.
The partnership will run through the 2028-29 season, linking one of football’s most recognisable clubs with one of the Middle East and Africa’s longest-established airlines.
