Niger beat Mali 2-0 to end 2026 U15 World Cup campaign on a high

Niger ended their 2026 U15 World Cup campaign in Azerbaijan with a 2-0 victory over Mali.

The Mena secured the win in the quarter-final of the losers’ bracket B, finishing their tournament with a positive result after being placed in the knockout section for teams that had suffered defeat.

Against their fellow West Africans, Niger produced the decisive moments to claim victory. Despite competing in the losers’ bracket, the Mena’s young players maintained their determination and fighting spirit through to the final match of the competition.

The result provides satisfaction for the Nigerien side, who can take encouragement from the commitment shown by their players throughout the tournament. Niger therefore leave Azerbaijan with a win against their West African neighbours.
