Manchester United face Rosenborg as Arab giants continue pre-season build-up on Friday
Manchester United, Al Ahli Jeddah, Al Hilal and Galatasaray are all in pre-season action on Friday, with a series of high-profile friendlies scheduled across Europe.
Arab and European clubs continue their preparations for the 2026-27 campaign on 24 July 2026, with matches taking place throughout the day and broadcast on various platforms.
Al Ahli Jeddah get the programme under way at 12:30 local time when they take on Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes in a friendly that will be shown live on STC tv. The Saudi club are using the fixture as part of their build-up towards the new domestic season.
Al Hilal, who are holding a training camp in Austria, meet South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns at 19:00 in what is their second friendly of the overseas pre-season schedule. The match forms a key part of their preparations following an intensive training block in Europe.
At the same time, Manchester United host Norwegian side Rosenborg at Old Trafford in a warm-up game that will be broadcast on the English club’s official channel. The fixture is one of United’s early summer tests as they shape their squad and tactics ahead of competitive action.
Later in the evening, Turkish champions Galatasaray continue their own pre-season programme when they face Italian side Monza at 21:00. The match offers the Istanbul club another opportunity to assess their squad against European opposition before the new season starts.
Friday’s schedule reflects a busy period of friendlies across the Arab and European game, with clubs using these matches to build fitness, integrate new players and fine-tune systems ahead of the return of league and cup competitions.
