Kings Kangwa: CSKA 1948 linked with move for Zambia midfielder from Hapoel Beer Sheva

Zambian central midfielder Kings Kangwa of Hapoel Beer Sheva is being linked with a move to Bulgarian side CSKA 1948, according to transfer data suggesting interest from the efbet Liga club.

The 27-year-old, capped at club level in Israels Ligat ha’Al with Beer Sheva, is listed with a current market value of 3.80m in the latest figures dated 11 June 2026. The reported probability of the transfer remains unspecified (?), and there is no recorded contract expiry date for Kangwa at the Israeli club, leaving open the possibility that he could yet move as a free agent if his deal is close to running down or unrenewed.

Born in Kasama on 6 April 1999 and standing at 1.70m, Kangwa has built a career as a right-footed central midfielder capable of operating in the heart of the pitch. He returned to Hapoel Beer Sheva in July 2024 from Red Star Belgrade, having previously spent time in the clubs U19 set-up on loan from Zambias Happy Heart Football Academy in 2017-18.

Kangwas most recent club switch came after a loan spell at Belgian side KV Kortrijk in the 2023-24 season, before rejoining Red Star and then moving on to Beer Sheva. Before his stint in Serbia, he featured for Arsenal Tula in Russias top flight from 2019, following spells at Zambian clubs Buildcon FC and Happy Heart.

His market value has risen steadily in Israel, climbing from 1.8m at the end of 2024 to 3.5m by March 2026 and 3.8m in June. That trajectory underpins CSKA 1948s reported interest as they survey options in central midfield.

Most recently, Kangwa featured in Hapoel Beer Shevas Ligat ha’Al fixture against Maccabi Haifa on 2 May 2026, a 1-1 draw in which he completed the full 90 minutes in central midfield, contributing to Beer Shevas control in possession and defensive organisation.

Any move to Sofia would add Bulgarias efbet Liga to a resume that already includes top-flight experience in Zambia, Russia, Serbia, Belgium and Israel, and, if completed, would further enhance Kangwas reputation as a well-travelled midfielder in European football.
