Kai Havertz sets unwanted Arsenal offside record in Hull City match

Kai Havertz has already been caught offside more times for Arsenal this season than any player at the club managed throughout the whole of the previous campaign.

The Germany international was flagged offside for the 15th time this season during Arsenal’s Premier League match against Hull City on Saturday, according to statistics published by Opta.

Havertz’s total has taken him beyond the figure recorded by Bukayo Saka, who led Arsenal’s offside count last season with 14 offences.

The milestone came in the 10th round of Premier League fixtures, with Havertz surpassing last season’s club-high before the current campaign has been completed.

Arsenal, managed by Mikel Arteta, began the match at the top of the Premier League table with 24 points. Hull City went into the fixture 13th with 11 points.
