Jonathan Sowah agrees three-year return to Singida Black Stars
Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah is on the verge of completing a return to Tanzanian Premier League side Singida Black Stars after agreeing personal terms on a three-year contract with the club.
The deal is now awaiting final approval between Singida Black Stars and Simba SC, with negotiations between the two clubs progressing toward a full agreement.
Sources close to the transfer indicate that the move is being spearheaded by Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, who is in direct contact with Simba SC President Mohammed “Mo” Dewji as discussions continue over the final details of the transfer.
Sowah’s return to Singida would see him reunite with a club where he previously enjoyed an impressive spell before making the switch to Simba SC. The Ghana international is expected to bolster Singida’s attacking options as the club prepares for the upcoming campaign.
Although the striker’s personal terms have already been settled, the transfer cannot be officially completed until both clubs reach a final agreement on the deal.
The 25-year-old has built a reputation as one of Ghana’s most consistent forwards in recent years. Before embarking on his career in Tanzania, Sowah starred for Ghana Premier League outfit Medeama SC, where his goalscoring exploits earned him widespread recognition and attracted interest from clubs beyond Ghana’s borders.
His performances at Medeama played a key role in elevating his profile, eventually paving the way for his move to Tanzanian football.
A successful return to Singida Black Stars would offer Sowah the opportunity to revive his career in familiar surroundings while providing the club with an experienced and proven goalscorer ahead of the new season.
With personal terms already agreed, attention now turns to the negotiations between Singida Black Stars and Simba SC, as both clubs work to finalize the transfer and bring the deal to completion.
