Issa Kaboré completes permanent move to Wrexham

Burkina Faso international Issa Kaboré has completed a permanent move to Wrexham, signing a three-year contract with the Welsh club after impressing during his previous spell at the Racecourse Ground.

The 25-year-old right-back returns to Wrexham on a permanent basis after making 32 appearances for the club. He played an important role for the Red Dragons last season, providing eight assists in the Championship.

Kaboré will now remain with Wrexham for the next three seasons as he looks to build on his previous contribution and add to his appearance tally.

His return represents another stage in a career that began in Burkina Faso before taking him to Europe.

Born in Bobo-Dioulasso, Kaboré started playing professionally with Rahimo FC in his home country. His performances and potential quickly attracted interest from clubs outside Burkina Faso.

In the summer of 2019, he made the move to Belgium to join KV Mechelen, beginning his career in European football.

The switch to Belgium marked an important step for Kaboré as he continued his development away from his native Burkina Faso.

Now, after establishing himself as a Burkina Faso international and gaining experience in European football, the defender is back at Wrexham with a permanent deal secured.

Kaboré’s previous contribution to the Welsh side has been a significant part of his return. His eight assists in the Championship last season highlighted his attacking influence from the right side of defence.

The defender has already featured 32 times for the Red Dragons and will now have the opportunity to increase that total during his three-year contract.

At 25, Kaboré remains an important part of Wrexham’s plans as he enters the next stage of his career at the club.

His permanent return brings an end to the uncertainty over his future and gives the Burkina Faso defender a long-term base at the Racecourse Ground.
