Hertha Berlin seal loan deal for Burnley forward Oluwaseun Adewumiau

Hertha Berlin have reached a full agreement with Burnley to sign forward Oluwaseun Adewumiau on loan, with the move now only awaiting final administrative clearance.

German journalist Florian Plettenberg has confirmed that the transfer is “desormais acte”, with all terms settled between the two clubs for the temporary switch of the Nigeria-origin attacker.

The 21-year-old successfully completed his medical on Thursday and is spending Friday finalising the remaining paperwork required to complete the deal.

Already with Hertha squad in Austria

Although the official announcement is still pending, Adewumiau has already joined up with his new team-mates at Hertha Berlin’s pre-season training camp in Kitzbuhel.

He has been with the squad since Thursday, integrating into the group while the club’s hierarchy work to formalise the move.

The forward is waiting for the final documents to be signed off before he is cleared to take part in full training sessions in Hertha colours for the first time.

Nigerian roots, Bundesliga opportunity

Adewumiau, who is of Nigerian origin, will move from Burnley to the German side on a loan deal, giving him the chance to gain experience in the Bundesliga environment.

Burnley and Hertha Berlin have agreed all key aspects of the arrangement, and no changes to the terms are anticipated at this stage.

Once the final administrative steps are completed, the transfer is expected to be made official, enabling the 21-year-old to be fully available for Hertha during the remainder of their pre-season preparations.
