Dylan Batubinsika: Free-agent DR CongoFrench defender linked with Maccabi Netanya move

DR CongoFrench centre-back Dylan Batubinsika, currently a free agent after leaving Greek side AE Larisa, is being linked with a return to Israeli football at Maccabi Netanya.

The 30-year-old defender, who was released at the start of July and is officially listed as Without Club, is the subject of fresh speculation on 6 July over a switch to the Ligat ha’Al club, with the reported probability of a deal still marked as unclear (?). His current market value is put at 600,000, making him an experienced but affordable option on a free transfer.

Batubinsika, born in Cergy-Pontoise on 15 February 1996 and standing at 1.85m, holds both DR Congo and French nationality and plays primarily as a right-footed centre-back. He spent the second half of last season with Larisa after joining from AS SaintEtienne in January 2026, following a spell in Ligue 2 where his value had peaked at 2.5m in December 2024 before dropping to 600,000 by June 2026.

Before his brief stint in Greece, Batubinsikas career took in Portugal with FC Famalicao and a successful loan at Maccabi Haifa, where his market value climbed to 1.2m by May 2023. Earlier, he established himself at Royal Antwerp in Belgium after coming through Paris SaintGermains youth ranks, progressing from PSGs U17s to the B team between 2010 and 2017.

Recent data lists him as unattached at international level, with no current national team. Detailed individual match statistics for his final appearances with Larisa or SaintEtienne, such as opponent, date, scoreline and specific performance, are not provided in the available dataset and cannot be independently confirmed here.

Should an agreement with Maccabi Netanya materialise, a return to Israels top flight could offer Batubinsika the platform to re-establish his reputation in a league he already knows well from his time at Maccabi Haifa and stabilise his career after becoming a free agent this summer.
