Christian Intsoen leaves BATE Borisov to become free agent after Belarus spell ends
Cameroonian defender Christian Intsoen has left BATE Borisov to become a free agent after his contract with the Belarusian club ended on 6 July 2026, completing a free transfer away from the Vysheyshaya Liga side.
The 27-year-old centre-back departs BATE just six months after joining from league rivals FK Smorgon in January 2026. His market value at the time of the move stands at 75,000, having been updated in late June during his short spell in Borisov.
Intsoen, born in Bertoua, Cameroon, stands at 1.85m and is specialised as a central defender. He has spent the bulk of his professional career in Belarus, developing a reputation in the countrys top flight following his move from Cameroon in 2020.
After leaving Cameroonian sides Kadji Sports Academy and Eding Sport FC, Intsoen first became a free agent in early 2019 before heading to Belarus with Krumkachi Minsk in February 2020. His early performances in Minsk saw his estimated value rise steadily from 25,000 to 50,000 over the course of that year.
A transfer to FK Smorgon in January 2021 marked the most stable phase of his career to date. While at Smorgon, Intsoens value peaked at around 100,000 and remained close to that level for much of his time with the club, reflecting his status as a regular presence in Belarusian football.
By mid-2024 his valuation briefly dipped, but it returned to the 100,000 mark later that year and held steady into mid-2025, underlining his consistent standing in the league before his subsequent move to BATE.
Intsoen now enters the market as an experienced, Belarus-hardened central defender with recent top-flight minutes and a current valuation of 75,000.
