Abdoul Kader Bamba: French-Senegalese winger joins Granada CF on free transfer from Clermont Foot

Granada CF have added French-Senegalese winger Abdoul Kader Bamba to their squad, with the 32-year-old joining from Clermont Foot on a free transfer. The left-sided attacker has signed a contract with the Spanish club running until 30 June 2028 as they prepare for the new LaLiga2 campaign.

Bamba arrives in Spain after a spell in French football that most recently saw him re-establish himself at Clermont, having previously been without a club before signing there in January 2025. His move to Granada marks his first venture outside France at senior level and gives the Andalusian side an experienced wide option on a long-term deal.

Comfortable on the left wing and preferring to play off his right foot, Bamba has built a solid record across the French leagues. He has made 83 appearances in Ligue 1 and 80 in Ligue 2, contributing goals and assists in both divisions, and has also featured in the Europa League and domestic cups.

Born in Sarcelles in April 1994 and standing at 1.77m, Bamba worked his way up through the French system with spells at clubs including Le Mans and Nantes before his more recent stints at Amiens, Saint-Etienne and Clermont. His experience across promotion battles, relegation fights and cup competitions adds depth to Granada’s attacking options as they target a strong season in Spain’s second tier.

The transfer sees Bamba’s registration move permanently from Clermont Foot to Granada CF on a free transfer, with his deal in Spain confirmed through to summer 2028.
