Hassania Agadir file protest over officiating in Raja AC defeat

Hassania Agadir have lodged a formal complaint with the National Professional Football League (LNFP) over refereeing decisions during their Botola Pro encounter against Raja Club Athletic, demanding intervention to protect fairness and sporting integrity in the Moroccan top-flight league.

The protest follows Wednesday’s fifth-round fixture, played at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, where Hassania Agadir expressed dissatisfaction with several officiating decisions they believe had a significant influence on the course of the match.

In an official letter addressed to the president of the LNFP and signed by club president Belaid El Fakir, the Agadir-based outfit called on the league authorities to investigate the incidents and take appropriate measures to prevent similar situations from recurring.

The club described the latest incident as the second occasion this season in which it believes it has suffered from what it considers unfair refereeing decisions.

Hassania Agadir’s management stressed that repeated officiating controversies could undermine the principle of equal opportunity among competing clubs, while also raising concerns about the credibility and overall integrity of the competition.

According to the club, refereeing mistakes should not be allowed to determine the outcome of matches or place certain teams at a disadvantage in the race for points.

The management has therefore urged the LNFP to take concrete steps to address the concerns, improve officiating standards and ensure that all clubs compete under equal conditions throughout the campaign.

Hassania Agadir also highlighted the importance of protecting the reputation of Moroccan football, particularly as the country prepares to host major international sporting events.

As part of its complaint, the club indicated its readiness to submit video footage of the incidents it considers questionable to support its case and assist the league in reviewing the decisions.

The club is now awaiting a response from the LNFP, hoping that its concerns will receive serious consideration and lead to measures that strengthen confidence in refereeing and the fairness of the Moroccan professional league.
