A source at Pyramids FC has clarified that the club’s complaint to Egypt’s Public Prosecution over the football registration system was submitted in December 2025 and is not a new case against the Egyptian Football Association.
The complaint relates to an alleged breach of the Egyptian Football Association’s player-transfer system, following a dispute over the registration of several players from the club’s youth sector.
According to the source, the legal action is directed at the incident itself and the parties allegedly involved, including the players’ parents and the Beni Suef Football Region. It does not accuse the Egyptian Football Association of being a direct party responsible for the alleged breach.
The Egyptian Football Association’s inclusion in the investigation is instead linked to its collective responsibility for the registration and transfer system. The association operates the electronic platform on which players’ registration details and transfer records are stored.
That responsibility allows the Public Prosecution to summon relevant officials and hear their accounts of the alleged breach, as well as any changes made to registration information as a result.
The source stressed that Pyramids FC’s position was sound and that the club’s registration forms were valid. The central issue, they said, was the alleged intrusion into the player-transfer system, which requires an investigation to establish who was responsible and clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The source also emphasised that the presence of the Egyptian Football Association in the investigation does not mean a direct accusation has been made against it. Its involvement reflects its role as the body responsible for the electronic system at the centre of the case and the organisation required to explain what happened to the investigating authorities.
