Women’s U20 World Cup: Ghana opt for attacking shape against Ecuador

Ghana will begin their Women’s U20 World Cup campaign in an attacking 4-3-3 formation against Ecuador, who have selected a more cautious 4-2-3-1 for Sunday’s Group C meeting at Sosnowiec Arena.

The match will take place on Sunday, 6 September 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT. The official team sheets confirm the starting line-ups chosen by both coaches for their opening game of the group stage.

Known as the Black Princesses, Ghana have opted for a system designed to support quick forward movements. Their 4-3-3 set-up places emphasis on attacking width and rapid progression, with the team expected to look for opportunities to move forward at pace.
