Redah Atassi leaves TFC for Desert Falcon in free transfer

Moroccan-French defender Redah Atassi has joined Desert Falcon from TFC on a free transfer, completing a move to the club on 3 September 2026.

The 35-year-old centre-back arrives after one year with TFC, whom he joined from US Colomiers in September 2025, also without a transfer fee. Atassi’s switch to Desert Falcon represents his latest move across a career that has included spells in France, Morocco, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Atassi began his senior club career with Toulouse B before moving to Getafe CF B in 2011. He subsequently joined FUS Rabat, then moved to AS Beziers in 2013. His time in France also included US Colomiers, while his Moroccan clubs included Hassania and FUS Rabat.

The defender has also played in the Gulf region, representing Al-Adalah and Al-Orooba in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates respectively. He joined Al-Orooba from Al-Adalah as a free agent in August 2021, before leaving the club in July 2023.

Atassi spent the 2024-25 season with Downtown Heroes after a period without a club. He then moved to US Colomiers in July 2025 before joining TFC two months later. He has now made another free transfer, this time moving on from TFC to Desert Falcon.

A left-footed defender standing 1.85m tall, Atassi has recorded 73 appearances and three goals in Ligue 3, as well as 41 appearances and one goal in National 1 – Group C. He has also made 27 Ligue 2 appearances, together with 33 appearances and two goals in the Saudi First Division League.

His record includes experience in several domestic competitions and continental football. Atassi has played in the UAE Pro League, Botola Pro Inwi and the CAF Confederation Cup, while also appearing in the UAE League Cup, UAE President’s Cup and Coupe de France.

Atassi holds Moroccan and French nationality and has been listed with The Football Circle as his national club. His arrival gives Desert Falcon a centre-back with experience in multiple leagues and a playing history stretching back to his early days with Toulouse B.
