Naples v Lazio: Serie A leaders backed to win as total shots odds reach 1.83

SS Lazio Rome travel to SSC Naples on Sunday, 8 November 2026, with the league leaders aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the Serie A season at the Diego Maradona Stadium.

The 10th-round match kicks off at 11:30 GMT. Nasser Eddy, a consultant for NCI Sport and presenter of the European Champions League on radio Nostalgie, has assessed the contest and selected his best bets.

Contrasting form

Naples, last season’s runners-up, sit eighth in the table with four wins and four defeats from their opening 10 league matches. Their recent form has worsened, with defeats by Juventus Turin in Serie A and FC Porto in the Champions League.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side lost 2-0 at home to Juventus before being beaten 4-1 by Porto on Wednesday. Naples conceded the opening goal in both games. They also drew 5-5 on corners against Porto, continuing a recent sequence in which they have alternated between losing and drawing the corner count.

The team’s problems have been compounded by a lengthy injury list, including Stanislav Lobotka, Badiashile and Leonardo Spinazzola.

Lazio arrive in much stronger shape. Without European competition to prepare for, Gennaro Gattuso’s players have been able to focus on the league and currently lead the standings. They are unbeaten after 10 matches and have won their past five games, scoring 16 goals and conceding five.

The Rome club also have Serie A’s best defence. At the other end, they are the division’s third-highest scorers, with Gustav Isaksen contributing four goals in his past five appearances. Captain Mattia Zaccagni, the competition’s leading assist provider, has also helped drive their attacking play.

Lazio have averaged 15 attempts on the opposition goal across their past five Serie A matches.

Recent meetings and key player

The fixture has generally produced open, closely fought matches, although the recent head-to-head record favours Naples. In the past 45 meetings in all competitions, Naples have won 21, Lazio 14 and 10 have ended level. Only three of those matches finished 0-0.

Lazio won the most recent meeting, beating Naples 2-0 at the Diego Maradona Stadium on 18 April.

Isaksen, now in his fourth season with Lazio, is enjoying his most productive spell for the club. His four Serie A goals are only one fewer than his total for the whole of last season. He forms part of a three-man attacking unit with Zaccagni and Noslin.

Key 1xBet prices include 3.15 for a Lazio win, 18 for a 1-3 scoreline, 2.15 for Lazio to score first, 2.90 for Lazio to win the corner count and 1.83 for more than 27.5 total shots on target. Isaksen is listed at 10.5 in the key-statistics prices and at 3.5 in the goalscorer prediction.

The match is scheduled for 11:30 GMT on Sunday, 8 November 2026. Odds may change.
