Sofiane Boufal linked with LaLiga return at Deportivo La Coruna
Moroccan-French attacking midfielder Sofiane Boufal, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Deportivo La Coruna in LaLiga.
Boufal, 32, left Le Havre on 1 July after spending the second half of the 2025-26 season with the French club. He joined Le Havre from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in January, having moved to Union from Al-Rayyan in 2024.
The former Lille and Southampton player won the Belgian title with Union in the 2024-25 season and added the Belgian Cup in 2026. His career includes 116 Ligue 1 appearances, in which he scored 28 goals and provided 24 assists, as well as 70 Premier League appearances.
Boufal has also played in Spain, making 35 LaLiga appearances during a loan spell with Celta de Vigo in the 2018-19 season. He recorded three goals and three assists in that competition.
A move to Deportivo would give Boufal a return to Spanish football, although the proposed switch remains a rumour and no agreement has been confirmed. He is currently unattached after leaving Le Havre, with his market value listed at €1.8m.
