Liverpool linked with Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh

Gambian winger Yankuba Minteh is the subject of a reported transfer link between Brighton and Premier League club Liverpool.

Minteh, 22, joined Brighton from Newcastle in July 2024 in a deal recorded at €35m and has a contract with the club until 30 June 2029. His current market value is listed at €45m.

The right winger has not made an appearance for Brighton in the 2026-27 UEFA Conference League qualifying campaign, despite being included in the squad for one possible match. His current role at the club is reflected by his position as a wide forward, with a preference for playing on the right and using his left foot.

Minteh joined Newcastle from Danish club Odense BK in July 2023 before spending the 2023-24 season on loan at Feyenoord. He helped the Dutch side win the Dutch Cup during that campaign.

The reported Liverpool interest comes with Minteh under a long-term Brighton contract, meaning any potential move would require agreement between the two Premier League clubs. No transfer fee or probability has been established for the rumour, and Minteh remains a Brighton player.
