Amine Gouiri attracts interest from seven European clubs

Amine Gouiri is attracting interest from seven European clubs, with Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla among the sides reportedly monitoring the Marseille forward as the transfer window approaches its conclusion.

The Algerian international’s future at Marseille has become increasingly uncertain, with the club understood to be open to his departure.

Gouiri has previously indicated that Marseille players were informed they could leave, putting his situation firmly in the spotlight.

According to L’Équipe, seven clubs from across Europe have shown an interest in the 26-year-old. Spain has emerged as one of the main destinations under consideration, with Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla all reportedly keeping track of the striker.

There is also significant interest from Italy. Como and Lazio are said to be monitoring Gouiri, while Juventus had already shown an interest in the Algerian during the January transfer window.

Everton are also among the clubs reportedly following the Marseille forward, taking the number of potential suitors to seven.

Villarreal are reportedly one of the clubs taking the situation particularly seriously as they prepare for the possibility of losing Georges Mikautadze.

According to Foot Mercato, the Spanish club has identified Gouiri as a potential option should the Georgian striker leave. Mikautadze’s future remains uncertain, while his release clause has reportedly increased to €75 million.

For now, Villarreal have not made a formal offer for Gouiri. Their interest remains linked to what happens with Mikautadze, meaning the situation could develop further before the transfer window closes.

Gouiri’s versatility is understood to be one of the factors behind the interest from clubs around Europe. The Algerian enjoyed a productive first full season at Marseille, scoring 11 goals and registering five assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.

Those figures have helped maintain his value in the transfer market despite the uncertainty surrounding his future in southern France.

With seven clubs reportedly watching his situation, Gouiri has no shortage of possible destinations should Marseille decide to sanction his departure.

However, no concrete offer has yet been made, leaving his next move dependent on developments in the final stages of the transfer window.
