Al Masry sign Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed Seha on season-long loan

Al Masry have completed the signing of Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed Seha on a season-long loan, making him the club’s sixth addition ahead of the new campaign.

The move follows an earlier request from Al Masry to recruit the young goalkeeper, with an Al Ahly source confirming that the club had agreed to the transfer after receiving the approval of head coach Hussein Ammouta.

The source told FilGoal: “وافقنا على انتقال سيحا الى المصري لمدة موسم على سبيل الاعارة بعد موافقة حسين عموتة مدرب الفريق”.

Seha’s arrival is part of Al Masry’s continuing efforts to strengthen their squad under manager Emad El Nahhas as they prepare for the new season.

The Port Said club have already added two other Al Ahly players during the summer, signing Mohamed Shokry and Mostafa El Ash. Seha is therefore the third player to move from Al Ahly to Al Masry during the current transfer window.

Al Masry’s six new signings are now Seha, Yassin El Mallah from Pharco, Moroccan defender Abdullah Al-Zayani from Difaa Hassani El Jadidi, Mostafa El Ash and Mohamed Shokry from Al Ahly, and Khair El Din Toual from ES Setif.

Seha joined Al Ahly at the beginning of last season after moving from Arab Contractors. During his time with the club, he played four matches, conceded five goals and kept one clean sheet.

His departure on loan leaves Al Ahly with three goalkeepers in their squad: Mostafa Shobeir, Mohamed El Shenawy and Hamza Alaa.

Al Masry’s recruitment of Seha gives the club another option in goal while continuing a summer transfer strategy that has included several additions from both domestic and overseas clubs. The Egyptian side’s business has also included the signing of Yassin El Mallah from Pharco, Abdullah Al-Zayani from Difaa Hassani El Jadidi and Khair El Din Toual from ES Setif.

The agreement is for one season only, with Seha set to spend the forthcoming campaign at Al Masry before his loan spell expires. His move was completed after the required approval from Ammouta, who sanctioned the goalkeeper’s temporary transfer.

Al Masry have been working to reinforce their squad under El Nahhas, and the deal makes Seha the latest player to join the club as preparations continue for the new season.
