Tottenham Hotspur star Omar Marmoush has praised the club’s supporters for their backing despite the team’s difficult start to the season.

The Premier League outfits’ struggles continued on Tuesday night as they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the round of 32 following a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Marmoush lasted the entire duration and made an impact in the high-stake clash as the sides succumbed to defeat, confirming their elimination from the Cup competition.

However, Marmoush praised goalkeeper Mamardashvili for his performance in the much-anticipated clash.

The Egyptian international insisted Tottenham must remain patient and continue creating opportunities despite their recent struggles.

“As I said, we have to keep trying. We create chances and get on the goal many times. We have a lot of quality, both here and on the bench. When these little details come together, things will be fine,” he added.

Marmoush also highlighted the team’s reaction after Liverpool had established a two-goal advantage, saying the comeback showed the unity within the squad.

“These moments create a special mentality among the players. We are like a family and we push each other forward. This gives us confidence and we have to build on that,” he said.

The Egyptian forward then reserved special praise for Tottenham’s supporters, stressing that their backing remains crucial as the team looks to turn its fortunes around.

“We felt their support from the very first moment, and that is extremely important,” Marmoush stated.

He called on the players, fans and coaching staff to remain united as they pursue their objectives for the season.

“We all, as players, fans, and coaching staff, must support each other in order to reach our goal. This is the only way for us to achieve what we want,” he concluded.
