Carlos Espi vows to give everything after completing first Real Madrid training

Carlos Espi says he will “give everything” to prove himself at Real Madrid after the new signing completed his first training session with the club.

Real Madrid announced the signing of the Levante striker on Thursday, with Espi describing the move as a dream opportunity that happened much faster than he expected.

“Everything happened very quickly. It is a unique feeling that cannot be described. I am extremely happy, and I will give everything I have for the club,” Espi told Real Madrid’s official channel.

The 21-year-old said he had been impressed by the welcome he received after arriving at the club.

“What I am experiencing now is incredible, and I did not expect it. Everyone here is wonderful, and they welcomed me in an excellent way,” he said.

Espi added that his first day at Real Madrid had confirmed the scale of the club and its facilities.

“I am very happy with my first day at Real Madrid. The club takes care of the smallest details and the facilities are amazing,” he said.

The striker also praised the experience of working alongside Real Madrid’s players and coaching staff.

“Training with all the Real Madrid players and the coaching staff is a unique experience. The coaching staff are always close to us, and that is excellent,” Espi said.

He made clear that he would focus on taking every opportunity offered to him by the manager.

“I will give my absolute best in every opportunity the manager gives me. I am a striker who likes to be inside the penalty area, and I am always ready to take advantage of any chance,” he said.

“The most important thing for me is to give everything I have for Real Madrid and earn the manager’s trust.”

Espi joined Levante’s youth set-up in the summer of 2022 and quickly established himself, helping the team win the league title. He made his senior debut for the club in February 2024.

The forward played an important role in Levante’s promotion to the Spanish top flight. He made 36 appearances in the second tier and scored six goals during that campaign.

His first season in La Liga brought further recognition. Espi played 25 matches and scored 11 goals, finishing as Levante’s leading scorer. He was also named La Liga’s player of the month for March and won the competition’s award for the best under-23 player at the end of the season.

Espi ended his time with Levante having made 66 appearances for the first team and scored 20 goals. He has also represented Spain at under-19 and under-20 level.

His arrival is Real Madrid’s fifth signing of the current summer transfer window. The club have also brought in Mark Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva.
